Police hunt for purse-snatcher

Police are seeking witnesses after an elderly woman had her purse stolen on Marine Terrace.

The purse-snatcher has been described as a man aged in the early to mid-20s.

Police said he stole the woman’s purse while she was walking along the street at 5pm yesterday

He dropped the purse when chased by an onlooker as he fled the scene.

The thief is described as about 5”10’ with dark skin, wearing a black shirt and black track pants with a red baseball cap.
