Police are investigating a fire which ignited four vehicles at a Narngulu property on Saturday, causing about $20,000 damage.

The incident happened about 6.15am in Kemp Street.

Police said it appeared the fire had been deliberately lit.

The structure which housed the vehicles only sustained smoke damage.
