Luxury catamaran’s story revealed
A luxury catamaran anchored in Champion Bay in recent weeks has aroused the curiosity of locals – and we can today reveal its story.
Owner Nicholas Linton of Kimberley Expeditions said the 38-metre expedition vessel Reef Prince had been undergoing preparations ahead of a Coral Coast cruise to Broome on March 23.
“We came here on February 26 and did a run to the magnificent Abrolhos Islands with 36 girls from St Mary’s Grammar School from Perth,” he said.
“While there we did a crew training session and now we’re just doing a bit of maintenance and waiting for the next tour.”
Tomorrow , Mr Linton will invite people to tour the custom-built vessel and learn more about its cruises.
“We’ll be running them out on the boat and escorting them around, we’ll take a tour of the cabin, enjoy the boat for an hour or so, and I’ll run them back in.”
