Police seek CCTV and dash-cam footage of Hyundai Elantra stolen without key from Geraldton home

Police are seeking information to assist an investigation after a vehicle was stolen from an address in Geraldton at the weekend and later recovered.

About 10pm on Saturday, November 26, police allege a vehicle was stolen from an address on Eastern Road, Geraldton by unknown means.

Officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant Chris Martin said the stolen vehicle — a 2014 white Hyundai Elantra hatchback — was driven throughout Karloo and Rangeway and police were seeking CCTV footage of the vehicle in those areas.

“At the time of the (alleged) offence the vehicle was left secured, parked in the verge and the keys were in possession of the victim,” he said.

The vehicle registration is CGG112K. At this stage, it is unknown how many suspects were involved.

Sen Sgt Martin said police recovered the vehicle in the Rangeway area on Sunday, November 27 about 11.45pm and has been seized for forensic examination.
