A 26-year-old Perth woman has escaped unharmed after crashing an alleged stolen vehicle near Coorow today.

Police were called to the scene about 1.30pm on Midlands Road, 10km south of Coorow, where they found the Toyota Orion on the side of the road.

The car was recently reported stolen from a Perth property and was allegedly involved in a number of fuel stealing incidents in the Mid West, police say.

Sergeant Nathan Good from Carnamah Police said he believed speed was a factor in the crash.

“It looks as though she’s come round the corner with excess speed, hit the gravel and crashed into a tree,” he said.

“We’ll be talking to her when she comes out of hospital regarding the stolen vehicle.

“She was pretty shaken up but appeared to be unhurt.”

The woman was taken to Moora hospital.
