Drugs ‘hidden in torch’

A 25-year-old Meekatharra man who allegedly concealed cannabis inside a flashlight will face court on a drug charge.

Police stopped a Ford Falcon on Fitzgerald Street yesterday about 11pm.

It is alleged a search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of eight grams of cannabis located both in the vehicle and within a flashlight.

The man has been charged with possession of cannabis and will appear before Geraldton Magistrate’s Court at a later date.
