Mid West police hit back at 'bad manners'
Sick of hearing potty-mouthed tantrums from grown-ups who should know better?
Police in Morawa, in WA’s remote Mid West, can sympathise and are doing their bit to change the world, one expletive-laden public outburst at a time.
Officers told the story on Twitter this week of their first candidate for re-education.
“Some people have no manners!” the tweet read.
“Swearing because police are looking at you is not OK in public. A male person has a $500 fine now as a lesson.”
Soon after came another tweet, this time about an early morning music-lover.
“If police tell you turn off your music at 1am, don’t start swearing, yelling and being abusive as that is gonna cost you 500 big ones.”
Police said the man apologised to them the next day for his behaviour.
