A crowdfunding appeal has already raised $9000 for the family of a young mum who died in a tragic crash near Geraldton on Saturday.

The gofundme page was launched yesterday to cover funeral costs for 23-year-old Chloe Louise Rumble, of Drummond Cove, and to provide financial support for her 11-month-old son, Kobi John, who suffered minor injuries in the crash.

The initial fundraising target of $10,000 was revised yesterday to $20,000 following an outpouring of generosity.

"The community is so generous we can't believe it," an entry on the website said.

"We hope to help give Kobi the best future possible with this money.

"We know Chloe only wants the best for her baby boy.

"Thank you everyone xoxox."

An earlier update paid tribute to Ms Rumble as "our beautiful friend, sister, daughter, girlfriend and mummy".

"Our lives will never be the same. Chloe brought happiness, laughter, joy, love & friendship.

"Please Geraldton, you can't take our heartache away but every dollar will help."

Police released Ms Rumble's name this morning.
