Woman charged over alleged axe handle attack

Police on Sunday arrested a 35-year-old woman after an incident in Rangeway in which it will be alleged an axe handle was used to strike a victim’s premises.

The woman, from Waggrakine, was allegedly in company with several other people at 3.30pm who attended an address along Blencowe Road.

She allegedly yelled out to an occupant in the house, inciting her to fight.

The woman was charged with possessing a weapon with intent to cause fear and will appear in Geraldton Magistrate’s Court at a later date.
