Arson squad to probe Geraldton fire
Arson Squad detectives are investigating a fire which caused about $500,000 damage at Durack Institute of Technology, Geraldton.
About 8pm on Tuesday police were called to the Fitzgerald Street facility.
Fire and Emergency Service Authority officers were making attempts to extinguish a fire within a ground floor building.
It is believed that damage to the building is estimated to be about $500,000.
Police attached to the Arson Squad will arrive in Geraldton later this morning to begin investigating the incident.
