A motorist could be charged after a crash on Brand Highway at Greenough yesterday.

Police allege the driver pulled out into the path of an overtaking Ford Ranger heading in the same direction.

Both cars were heading south near the S-Bend when the accident happened about 11.30am.

Police said the driver of the Ford Ranger swerved to avoid the car but the Ford ran onto the road gravel shoulder and then rolled several times, before coming to rest on its wheels.

The two male occupants, one from Perth and the other from Fremantle, were treated at Geraldton Hospital and discharged.

The pair were in Geraldton to attend the Triple J One Night Stand concert.

Acting Sergeant Keith Burrows of the Mid West Gascoyne Traffic Office said the driver who allegedly pulled out into the path of the Ford could be charged with overtaking when unsafe, dangerous driving, or dangerous driving occasioning bodily harm, pending further investigation.

The first charge carries a $400 fine.
