Two Geraldton police officers started a new exercise regime this morning involving sprint work and fence jumping.

The officers stopped to speak to a 40-year-old male at Scott Road, Rangeway, about 6.30am.

The man was allegedly known to police and the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant.

He allegedly ran from police, was chased for 400 metres and over four fences before being apprehended.

A 40-year-old man will face Geraldton Magistrate’s Court today.
