Trio charged over Rangeway car theft

A man and two boys have been charged in relation to the theft of a vehicle from Rangeway on Monday night.

Police allege the trio got into an unlocked Holden Statesman in the driveway of a Digby Street home about 11.50pm.

They allegedly put the car in neutral and pushed it to the end of the driveway, but were chased by the victim and his family.

Police were patrolling the area and arrested the trio a short time later.

An 18-year-old has been charged with stealing a motor vehicle and will appear in Geraldton Magistrate’s Court at a later date. Two 11-year-old boys were issued with a caution and referred to the Juvenile Justice Team.
