Geraldton Buccaneers suffer COVID scare ahead of Mandurah Magic match
The Geraldton Buccaneers have suffered a COVID scare, with multiple players and staff out ahead of their NBL1 West and WABL Championship clashes with the Mandurah Magic on Saturday night.
The Buccs are flying high at the moment, sitting on top of the NBL1 West ladder with seven wins out of seven.
They face a Mandurah Magic side which is currently third on the ladder, having won five out of their past five games.
The Buccs’ WABL team is fourth, with three wins and one loss to start the season.
Buccs coach Dayle Joseph confirmed the outbreak but said preparations for the NBL1 game had not been impacted.
Although the WABL side will have a number of outs, Joseph expects they should be able to field a team.
